At HOPE Counseling & Consulting, LLC, our mission is to provide high-quality counseling services to individuals, couples, and families who are experiencing emotional or psychological difficulties.

Elizabeth  Urban  

I am a  licensed and experienced counselor dedicated to helping her clients achieve their goals and improve their mental health and well-being through HOPE (Helping Obtain Personal Empowerment).

I obtained my bachelors degree in Human Development and Learning from Tennessee State University completing two internships at the Elizabethtown Girls Home. Upon graduation, I went to work for a Community Mental Health organization where I worked as in home, office, and school counselor for six years during which time I obtained my Masters Degree in Professional Counseling at the University of Cumberlands, completed my professional supervision, and became independently licensed. The next two years, I supervised 25 school CFI ‘s and provided supervision for social services and mental health nurse practitioners.

After 8 years with community mental health services, I left the organization and began private practice in Kentucky. I practiced three years in Kentucky before relocating back to my home area. After a break from practice to get settled in, I am now reopening my private practice here in the Salley-Wagener area, and I look forward to serving the children, youth, adults, couples, and families in these and surrounding areas.

In addition to my counseling skills, I also hold national certification in parenting curriculums which teach child development for all ages infant to 18 years. 

I hold a Licensed Professional Counselor license and am a nationally board certified counselor and currently have membership in the American Counseling Association.

In addition to counseling services, I have also served with Kentucky’s Prevent Child Abuse organization as a local seminar presenter, trainer, and fund raising event coordinator. I served with Kentucky’s Parent’s Anonymous organization as presenter, event organizer and fundraising coordinator for which I received a prestigious award for my service. Beyond these, I was honored to be chosen and presented with a Honorary Kentucky Colonel Award given by the state governor for community service.
